Art and Science Class Descriptions
|
A nurturing and inspiring introduction to art materials for children and caregivers alike! Little ones explore paints, glue, collage, sculpture, building and craft doughs to their heart's content, while adults are encouraged to take an observant but gently "hands-off" approach to artwork, allowing children to create in their own style. Each class includes creative play, easel painting, weekly project. Simple routines are introduced as children are ready. We emphasize process over product, and getting messy is a big part of the fun, so please dress accordingly!

Children will brew recipes for all sorts of paints, clays, blubbers and slimes, and other marvelous art mixtures, all the while learning about the properties of ingredients and what they can do when combined. Children will have the chance to play nutty professor, create their own concoctions and play with them all!
